About Dr. Schweigert
Therapy should feel like a real conversation—not something scripted or clinical. Dr. Amy Schweigert is a licensed psychologist and marriage and family therapist with more than 15 years of experience helping people make sense of their stories and find healing. She understands that life rarely fits into neat categories and brings experience from private practice, residential treatment, and the child welfare system.
Dr. Schweigert works with first responders, active duty military, veterans, and civilians, supporting individuals, couples, and families at all stages of life. Her approach is systemic and relational, meaning she looks at the bigger picture and considers how relationships, environments, and experiences shape who we are. She believes in meeting clients where they are and walking alongside them as they build resilience and create meaningful change.
Even when the path feels unclear, there are still points of light that help us find our way. Dr. Schweigert’s role is to help you notice them, to explore what’s difficult and rediscover what brings you back to center.
You can expect therapy that feels down-to-earth, collaborative, and focused on real life rather than textbook talk. Outside of work, she enjoys time with her family and her fur babies, cheering on the Wisconsin Badgers, and curling up with a good book.

About Kay
Are you tired of therapy that just doesn’t seem to fit you and your needs? Kay utilizes a collaborative, trauma-informed, relational approach to therapy. She knows that each person’s experience is unique to them.
Kay sees both first responders and non-first responders – primarily adults for individual and couple’s therapy. Kay fully believes that the most important element to good therapy is the match between client and therapist. As your therapist you can expect a person who is interested in “getting you”.
Kay brings a straightforward and real-life approach to building tools and insight to help with the hard stuff. Kay’s approach to therapy is laid-back minus the fluff, you-centered, and actively engaged.
As you have likely experienced, life is set up to celebrate our achievements and successes which leaves little space for the hard, gritty stuff. Kay’s goal is to give you a place to talk about the hard stuff and appreciate the good stuff.
